Seeing Sachin’s interest in the game of cricket, his father Ramesh Tendulkar sent him to cricket guru ‘Ramakant Achrekar’ who had received the title of Dronacharya of cricket, to get all the information about cricket. He worked to fully hone the cricketing talent hidden within Sachin.

 

 

 

 

Sachin Tendulkar wanted to become a fast bowler at the beginning of his cricket career, so to become proficient in fast bowling, he went to M.R.F. Met the fast bowling coach of the FOUNDATION.

 

 

 

 

After assessing Sachin’s talent, he advised him to concentrate only on batting. From then on, Sachin became completely established in batting. Sachin Tendulkar’s talent blossomed under the able leadership and guidance of the Dronacharya of cricket ‘Ramakant Achrekar’. As a cricket coach, Ramakant Achrekar used to teach the qualities of cricket in the morning before going to school and after returning from school. Ramakant Achrekar’s way of making Sachin practice cricket was completely different.

 

 

 

 

While giving batting practice to Sachin, Ramakant Achrekar used to keep a coin of 1 rupee under the wicket. When Sachin was out, the bowler had the right to that 1 rupee coin. In this way, Sachin became proficient in batting and got possession of 13 coins of Re 1, which are still present with Sachin Tendulkar as a priceless heritage given by Guru Ramakant Achrekar.

 

 

 

 

Sachin scored his first century in cricket in 1988 while playing for Mumbai at the national level. It was only after this match that Sachin was selected for the national team. It was only after 11 months that Sachin got the opportunity to play cricket against India’s arch-rivals Pakistan.

 

 

 

 

Pakistan cricket team was a strong team in international cricket at that time. Sachin got a chance to play ODI against Pakistan for the first time. Sachin Tendulkar made his first international century against the England team in 1990, in which Sachin was the second youngest player while playing an innings of 119 runs.

 

 

 

Seeing Sachin’s success against the England cricket team, he was made the captain of the Indian team for the 1996 World Cup, but after two years in 1998, Sachin left his captaincy. Again in 1999, Sachin was given the responsibility of captain.

 

 

 

 

Sachin played 25 Test matches under his captaincy but was successful in only four Test matches and Sachin had to fail as captain in 21 Test matches. Sachin was thus an unsuccessful test match captain. After this, he decided never to become a captain.

 

 

 

 

Sachin Tendulkar has achieved many records and successes in his cricket life, but the 100th cricket test played by Sachin became memorable for everyone. When Sachin Tendulkar played his 100th Test match against the England team at the Oval cricket ground in England, he was only 29 years and 134 days old.

 

 

 

 

In this match played at the Oval Cricket Ground on 5 September 2002, Sachin Tendulkar made the record of being the youngest player to play his 100th Test match and till now this achievement is in the name of Sachin Tendulkar.

 

 

 

Sachin Tendulkar retired from ODI cricket on 23 December 2012 and while playing his last Test cricket in Mumbai on 16 November 2013, he announced his retirement from Test cricket after playing an innings of 74 runs.

 

 

 

 

Sachin Tendulkar played 200 test matches in his cricket career and scored 15921 runs in test cricket with an average of 53.79. Sachin’s best run score was 246. Sachin has achieved 51 centuries and 68 half-centuries in his name.

 

 

 

 

In ODI matches, Sachin has played 463 matches and scored 18426 runs with a run average of 44.83, in which Sachin’s best run score is 200 runs. Sachin has achieved 49 centuries and 96 half-centuries in ODI cricket matches.

 

 

 

 

Sachin Tendulkar was not a bowler, yet he has taken 154 wickets while bowling in ODI cricket matches and he has taken 46 wickets in Test cricket. All in all, Sachin Tendulkar’s cricket life is ideal and unmatched.
