Autobiography of Mahatma Gandhi pdf
The people of India know Mahatma Gandhi by the names of Father of the Nation and Bapu. Mahatma Gandhi is called the priest of non-violence.
Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869 in Porbandar, Kathiawar, Gujarat state. Gandhi’s full name was ‘Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi’. Gandhi ji mainly worked with 3 formulas truth, love, and non-violence. The main principle of Gandhiji was non-violence.
Gandhiji’s effort in freeing India from the chains of slavery is well known. Taking the path of non-violence, Gandhi ji inspired the entire country of India to join the freedom movement by tying it in one thread.
Instead of adopting the path of violence against the British Government, Gandhiji adopted the path of non-violence. The people of the country and abroad get inspiration from the life of Gandhi.
Mahatma Gandhi’s father’s name was Karamchand Gandhi. His mother’s name was Putlibai. Gandhiji was married to Kasturba. Gandhiji was born on October 2, 1869, in Porbandar, Kathiawar, Gujarat to Karamchand and Putlibai. Gandhiji’s name was Mohandas Gandhi.
Mohandas Gandhi and Kasturba had four children named Harilal, Manilal, Ramdas, and Devdas. Gandhiji was associated with the profession of advocacy in Britain. Gandhiji returned to India and became a freedom fighter, striving for the independence of the country.
He had agitated in South Africa and was the chief architect of the Non-Cooperation Movement and Salt Movement in India. Gandhi ji is called the father of the nation and Bapu in the Indian public community.
The basic principles of Gandhiji were true love and non-violence. Gandhiji died on 30 January 1948 in Delhi. Gandhi ji used to do many such things in his childhood that when he grew up, he realized that we should not do such trivial things.
That’s why Gandhi Ji abandoned trivial work. When Mohandas used to go to school, at one time the school teacher gave Mohandas along with all the children to write the spelling of the English word. All the children wrote the spelling of the English word. The teacher collected the slates of all the students, then the teacher saw Mohandas’s slate, then his English spelling was wrong.
The teacher pointed out Mohandas to copy other students but Gandhi did not try to copy. The teacher asked Mohandas why didn’t they copy. You are the only student who misspelled the English word. Mohandas said, I know Guru ji that the spelling of the English word written by us is wrong but I could not adopt the way of copying.
From all these things we get to know the thoughts of Gandhiji. Only some time had passed since the country of India became independent. It was the day of 30 January 1948 when Gandhiji was going to the place of prayer in Delhi.
At the same moment, Nathuram Godse, who belonged to the Marathi family, first bowed down to Gandhiji and then surrendered himself to the police by killing Gandhiji with his pistol.
It is known from the opinion of many people behind Gandhiji’s assassination that the birth of Pakistan by dividing India and many such secrets of Hindu-Muslim riots are still hidden among the public. Education has a very important place in the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi ji considered education as an important point and was always ready for the promotion of education.
Gandhiji’s thoughts are very relevant even today. Gandhiji used to say that knowledge is the wealth that makes you free. With education, a man gets self-reliance as well as fearlessness. Education plays a very important role in character building. Knowledge without education invites evil. One should not burn books to destroy cultural heritage.
By not reading the book, the cultural heritage automatically ends. Gandhi ji thought that to build a new world, the method of education should also be of a new type. Gandhiji used to say that that which does not lead to purity of mind and does not control the senses cannot be called education. Gandhiji’s sentence was that non-violence is the first and also the last article of my book.
Gandhi ji used to say that education which does not show you the way to be free from slavery and does not teach you how to live independently, that education is absolutely useless. In Gandhiji’s priceless thought, education is a valuable tool for improving conduct and for the proper use of knowledge. Therefore, everyone should take education and be fully educated.
